 1. Dell Inspiron i5577-7359BLK-PUS

Dell Inspiron i5577 7359BLK

The Dell Inspiron i5577-7359BLK is a mid-range gaming laptop which is equipped with some decent specs for a reasonable price. Let’s talk about this great machine briefly now.

The Inspiron i5577 comes with 15.6 inch TN panel which might not the best display out there but certainly, it isn’t the worst either. The display is quite bright but the viewing angles are not so great. The display may not be suitable for outdoor conditions but for Indoor usages such as office or room, it may have decent viewing angles.

When it comes storage and performance, Dell is offering this laptop in a couple of different variants. I would suggest you get the 1TB Hard Disk Drive + 128GB SSD, 8GB RAM model If you have the budget up to $900. If you can spend up to $1000, then you can get the other variant which will, of course, have a better performance.

The hard disk drive which comes with the laptop is 5400 RPM which you may already know that it can deliver you only poor (or mediocre) performance. But having an additional disk is always better than having nothing. You can install Sketchup and other important applications in the SSD drive and save other files in the hard disk drive.

The laptop performs reasonably good based on its specs. An extra slot has offered to add additional RAM to this machine. The laptop supports up to 32GB RAM via 2 DIMM slot.

The processor you’ll get on this machine is Quad-Core Intel Core i7-7700HQ which you’ll find in many premium laptops on the market. You can push this processor to almost any level, still, it can deliver a good performance. One of the most important aspects of this machine is discrete graphics card i.e NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050. You can play games, render your project in Sketchup and much more with this powerful GPU.

Many customers have recommended to install a fresh OS with complete updates and Install GeForce experience for a better performance. I would recommend you do the same.

The laptop weighs 5.7 pounds (2.6 kg) which is by no means a lightweight laptop. If you are looking for a lightweight laptop for Sketchup, then this might not the best right choice for you. If you are looking for a powerful machine to use from a single place, then this could be your next laptop.

Coming to the battery life, Dell claims to offer 7.5 hours with a single charge but Tolga has mentioned that it can last up to 10 hours. While using Sketchup and other heavy demanding programs, you can expect 3-4 hours of battery life which is great in my opinion.
